Cherry is Perfect at Seafood, Masters in New Jersey

Shooting a high-90s score is usually enough to win a major sporting clays tournament, but not when someone shoots a rare perfect score. And that’s just what Wendell Cherrydid last weekend at the Big Seafood Blast and Masters Cup, acing the Masters Cup event at M&M Hunting Preserve and Sporting Clays.
The annual shoot is an NSCA Mega Blast event, with a total of 511 shooters competing for over $45,000 in prize money this year. The Seafood Blast attracted 435 participants, while 316 were registered for the Masters Cup.
Joseph Zeitler‘s score of 98 topped the Seafood Blast event, with Jeff Vick coming in second and Russell Tagliareni in third.
Following HOA Wendell Cherry’s perfect score were runner-up Bill McGuire at 97 andDan Glazier at third place with 95.
Diane Sorantino won the Ladies title in both events, turning in a 94 in the Masters and 88 in the Seafood Blast.
