Laura Burgess Marketing, public relations and marketing communications for the law enforcement, tactical, military, shooting sports, recreational fishing and boating markets, is proud to announce that team member, Ashley Burgess Gall, can now add “writer” to her list of credentials. Ashley’s first published article, “Extreme Scenario-Based Training,” has just been published by Harris Publications in the spring issue of Personal & Home Defense Magazine.
The article is based upon her experience at G4S International Training, Inc. (G4S ITI), located in Shacklefords, Virginia, which is a training facility offering security training programs to the US Government, military, law enforcement and responsible citizens. The “Ultimate Adrenaline Rush” adventure was created by Brandon Wright, Senior Firearms Instructor for G4S ITI and held in conjunction with LivingSocial Adventures. The course was developed to increase awareness of G4S ITI’s civilian open-enrollment courses which teach a variety of driving and firearm related skills.
The article is a high-adrenaline, first-person experience of the types of training more often provided to law enforcement, military or government types rather than civilians. “It’s 115 degrees out. Sweat trickles down your brow. Your clothes begin clinging to you like a second skin. You take a deep breath and feel your heart beating …every sense is on high alert…BOOM!
“As a marketer in the shooting sports industry, it’s always important to have a good understanding of your clients, their products and services,” Ashley Burgess Gall, Senior MARCOM Manager for LBM reflected. “Working our way through the various shooting and driving scenarios during this event sent me on the ultimate learning curve for firearms tactics and training.’
Ashley’s article “Extreme Scenario-Based Training” is available now in the 2013 issue of Personal & Home Defense Magazine from Harris Publications on newsstands or click here to order the issue.
