Vortex Extreme: You Pack It, You Shoot It Endurance Challenge

Registration for the 2013 Vortex Extreme is now open, and it’s not for the light-hearted. A hundred participants in teams of two are expected to traverse seven miles of Utah desert in Tremonton’s Spirit Ridge Rifle Golf shooting range, with everything they need to shoot targets out to 1,200 yards. Rifle, ammunition, water, optics, and all the other tools of the trade must be carried as contestants hoof it out in a competition that rewards both speed and accuracy.

The entry fee is $200 per shooter and will include two meals, event goodies, and on-site refreshments. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, with the leading two shooters receiving $1,500 and the Vortex Extreme Trophy.
