On April 13, 2013 at the New England Outdoor Writers Association’s Annual Awards Banquet Cuddeback’s The Radical Hunter cleaned up with four awards, walking away with awards for all of their four total entries in the Annual Broadcast Competition. The awards included First Place and Third Place for Best Hunting Show as well as First Place and Second Place for Best General Show.
Cuddeback’s The Radical Hunter, produced by Shiloh Outdoor Productions, airs on the Sportsman Channel in the third and fourth quarters. It follows Dick Scorzafava and Rex Summerfield on exciting hunts around the world. The show is returning for their third year on the air.
The New England Outdoor Writers Association is America’s oldest outdoor writers association. NEOWA honors outstanding examples of writing, broadcast, and images that convey the excitement and wonder of outdoor activities through the press, books, radio, and television to individuals who have produced outstanding works during the previous year. Upon winning two awards in each of the two categories that they were nominated in, Dick Scorzafava had to say, “We are honored to have won these prestigious awards from our peers in the industry. This year the numerous entries received for this contest include outdoor shows airing on all networks and the competition is always very tough.” Cuddeback’s The Radical Hunter previously was awarded First Place for Best Hunting Show and First Place for Youth Involvement in Hunting in 2011.
