Fight Cancer with Alpen Optics Pink Series Binoculars

Harness the power of pink and help battle cancer with a pair of Alpen Pink Series binoculars. In 2009 Alpen Optics, a family owned sports optics company, created a new line of binoculars – the Pink Series – in an effort to donate a percentage of all sales to breast cancer research. Turns out, Alpen customers are also focused on a cure and have helped Alpen donate more than $10,000 to the City of Hope Research Hospital over the past two years.
The Alpen Optics owners were first touched by breast cancer in 2000 when their 27-year-old niece lost her battle to the disease. An Alpen Pro Staffer, wife and mother of two won her fight with breast cancer in 2008.
At the time of the 2012-2013 donation, a music company in Los Angeles was generously matching all donations for a day. Alpen donated $5,500 to City of Hope, and the music company matched it, making a total donation of more than $11,000.
“For ladies who enjoy nature and bird watching, the Alpen 263 Pink, 8×25 model is ideal,” Vickie Gardner, vice president of “STUFF” and marketing for Alpen Optics, says. “Designed to help users better appreciate the many details they’d miss without optics, these binoculars are built to the same specs as the popular Pro Series Model 267 binoculars with 8X magnification, 25 mm objective lenses, the same BAK4 optics and in a compact size for smaller hands.”
For outdoorsy women who enjoy spending their free time hunting and scanning the horizon for big game or watching their favorite NASCAR race drivers maneuver their way around the track, the Alpen’s 393 Pink 10×42 model is perfect. It’s modeled after the award-winning Alpen Shasta Ridge 390SR binocular and has 10X magnification, 42 mm objective lenses and BAK4 optics for a bright, sharp high-resolution image.
A big heartfelt thanks goes out to all Pink Series owners for helping Alpen make these yearly donations possible. Alpen will continue to support cancer research from the purchase one of the Alpen Pink Series, however, in 2013-14 Alpen is “Focused on Cancer Prevention”! The folks at Alpen know that getting outdoors and eating the food you grow and the game you harvest are a great start to preventing disease. Don’t forget your binoculars!
