Free Intro to Target Shooting Class Offered at Banner Shooting Range in Iowa

A free seminar at to introduce the fun and excitement of target shooting will be offered on select Thursdays starting in May at Banner Shooting Range, north of Indianola.

First Shots, an introduction to shooting program offered by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Shooting Sports program in partnership with the National Shooting Sports Foundation, will teach gun safety and allow participants to fire a handgun, rifle and shotgun.

The program will be held 5 p.m. on May 16, June 20, July 18, Aug. 15 and Sept. 19 at Banner Shooting Range. Registration is required by sending an email to bannerrange@dnr.iowa.gov or by calling 515-961-6408. Banner Shooting Range is in Summerset State Park, between Indianola and Des Moines, off Hwy. 65/69.
