Mark Kayser, already a respected TV host, outdoorsman, photographer, blogger, and journalist, can now add a new title to his resume. Kayser is now a national spokesman for the Hope For The Warriors Outdoor Adventures Program. Hope For The Warriors is a national nonprofit organization that assists post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.
Kayser is the host of North American Hunter on NBC Sports. He is also the host of The Ultimate Buck Zone on Outdoor Channel. Previously he has hosted, cohosted or appeared on TV shows appearing on major networks such as ESPN2, the Pursuit Channel and the Sportsman’s Channel as well as retail videos. Kayser is a columnist for North American Hunter magazine and Bowhunt America publication, and a frequent contributor to most outdoor publications including the NRA’s American Hunter, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Bugle magazine, National Wild Turkey Federation’s Turkey Country magazine, Outdoor Life, Bowhunter, Predator Xtreme, Cabela’s Outdoor Journal, to name a few. Kayser is a featured blogger for North American Hunter and Predator Xtreme, and on the national pro staff for Mossy Oak, Nikon, Cabela’s, Mathews, Hornady and Thompson Center.
“Service members mean everything for the security of our country and the veterans of our recent wars deserve all the help we can give them when they return from deployment,” said Kayser. “The outdoors and particularly hunting is everything to my family, and that’s why I believe the Outdoor Adventures program of the Hope For The Warriors is so important. It brings the families of service members who have served together in an outdoor setting. For me, that’s the best place to heal and reacquaint, and why I’m proud to be able to help with this goal.”
As a spokesman, Kayser will help Hope For The Warriors fulfill their mission to restore self, family and hope to military families through a multitude of programs, including the Outdoor Adventures Program. Hope For The Warriors Outdoor Adventures Program provides adaptive opportunities for wounded heroes to participate in sporting activities in the great outdoors. Service members, who previously embraced an outdoorsman lifestyle, as well as those new to wilderness sports, are introduced to recreational opportunities on the road to recovery.
Kayser volunteered to be the spokesperson for Hope For The Warriors, lending his expertise to support wounded service members and military families across the country. He has already hosted a wounded veteran and his spouse for a weekend of hunting and outdoor fun. Kayser and Hope For The Warriors are excited to partner on future outdoor opportunities too.
“For these veterans, hunting and fishing is not just a pastime, it is a form of therapy and a key part of their recovery,” Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors president said. “We are thankful that Mark has stepped forward to bring attention to the benefits and to providing additional opportunities to our proud military families.”
The mission of Hope For The Warriors is to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. Hope For The Warriors® is dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families.
