GASTON J. GLOCK style LP, the purveyors of fine quality hunting and shooting sports apparel and accessories, is unveiling four new knives – three pocket knives and one hunting knife – at the 2013 Blade Show & International Cutlery Fair, held at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia May 31st through June 2nd, 2013 at Booth 164. In addition, the company will be offering 10% off all GASTON J. GLOCK style LP brand knives purchased during the show and through June 10th in their online store.
The G3 Pocket Knife and Tirpitz Pocket Knife were modeled and manufactured based on drawings and sample books that date back to 1932. These original designs were discovered at a 175 year old company located in Solingen, Germany. To make these particular knives, special tools from that era had to be reproduced and experienced blacksmiths were needed to manufacture these knives using the old techniques.
The blade of the G3 Pocket Knife is made from recycled non-stainless steel from the historic German G3 Assault rifle barrels. This steel is used in the 320 layer Wave Damascus hand crafted by one of the best German blacksmiths. The body of the knife is composed of two stamped brass liners, each having welded pins made of nickel silver, a back spring, a guard attached to the back spring and a connecting piece, as well as the blade. The unlocking of the blade occurs via a sophisticated old mechanism, which is triggered by the guard. The knife scales are made from stabilized bog oaks, a wood which has been preserved over thousands of years in Danish bogs. MSRP is $790.00.
The blade of the Tirpitz Pocket Knife is made from the recycled non-stainless steel of the historic German Battleship Tirpitz, which was salvaged by a Norwegian and German company. This steel is used in the 320 layer Wild Damascus hand crafted by one of the best German blacksmiths. The body of the knife is composed of two stamped brass liners, each having welded pins made of nickel silver, a back spring, a guard attached to the back spring and a connecting piece, as well as the blade. The knife scales are made from Mammoth teeth and are carefully attached to the knife skeleton. MSRP is $590.00.
The blade of the Noble Tirpitz Pocket Knife is made of recycled non-stainless steel from the armor plates of the German Battleship Tirpitz.
