Colt’s Manufacturing Company LLC is proud to recognize its sponsored shooter, Clint Upchurch, for his outstanding performances in this year’s 3-Gun competitions. Upchurch has placed in the top 10 in all of his individual and team events this year, including the 2013 3-Gun Pro Series Tour, the Colt 3-Man 3-Gun Championship and the Bushmaster Tarheel 3-Gun.
At Event #1 and Event #2 of the 2013 3-Gun Pro Series Tour, Upchurch placed sixth and ninth, respectively. “The sport of 3-Gun has grown exponentially just in the two years that we have sponsored Clint,” said Joyce Rubino, Vice President of Marketing for Colt’s Manufacturing Company. “The competition is stiff, with scores that are just fractions apart. We are very proud of Clint’s performance this year as he continues to place at the top of a highly competitive field.”
In April, Upchurch again teamed up with Brownells-sponsored Noveske shooting team members Jansen Jones and Rob Romero for the Colt 3-Man 3-Gun Championship. Team Colt-Noveske finished in second place after Stage One of the event, and hopes to defend its title as the 2012 champions of the event at the second and final stage in July at the Peacemaker National Training Center.
Upchurch also walked away with a decisive first place finish at Bushmaster’s Tarheel 3-Gun competition earlier this month. He placed first in the Open Division by a margin of more than 25 percent, beating out a field of some 250 competitors. This is the second year in a row Upchurch won this competition.
“The talent of the competitors on the 3-Gun circuit this year is incredible, and looking at the big picture, I have been happy to be finishing anywhere from first to ninth so far this season,” said Upchurch. “Looking ahead to my upcoming matches in June and July, I plan to keep working hard and get those first place finishes.”
In June, Upchurch will be shooting in the Palmetto State Armory’s “Upstate 3-Gun” in Clinton, S.C. on the eighth, followed by the Task Force Dagger 3-Gun competition in Blakely, Ga., on the 14th and Event #3 of the 2013 3-Gun Pro Series on the 22nd.
