Warm Springs Production today announced season two of their immensely popular series, Mountain Men, one of the highest rated new series on all of cable television in 2012, will begin airing on History Channel June 9th at 9pm Eastern Time.
“Our love of the outdoors and the Montana lifestyle was on display throughout season one of Mountain Men,” said Marc Pierce, Managing Partner of Warm Springs Productions. “So, we’re thrilled to be have been able to work on another season and continue to bring the livelihood of these rare characters to televisions across the country.”
The second season of Mountain Men continues to follow the lives of modern day mountain men Eustace Conway of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Tom Oar of the Yaak River Valley in Montana, and Marty Meierotto of the northern range in Alaska. Additionally, the new season will introduce Rich Lewis of the Ruby Valley in Montana and Charlie Tucker of Northern Maine. The series chronicles the day-to-day activities they go through to survive and make a living in some of the toughest environments in the country.
Each character makes their living off the land through trapping, tanning, as well as subsisting solely on what they can grow, fish or hunt. As a part of that lifestyle, they’re constantly confronted with the challenges Mother Nature throws at them such as 60 degrees below zero weather, grizzly bears, wolves, mountain lions, and the threat of serious injury while living and working in remote areas a long ways from the nearest hospital.
“The response to the first season of the series was amazing,” added Chris Richardson, President of Warm Springs Productions. “Our crew puts a tremendous amount of time and energy into this project and takes pride in trying to make the series visually stunning. It’s with great pride in our talented team that we see Season two premier to such fanfare.”
