“We give a Special Thanks to Samantha Carney and her staff with Charleston Tourism, Captain James Jarrell, WV DNR, Matt Jenkins and all the folks at Cabela’s Store Charleston for all the assistance in making this event possible.

“I think this weekend proved the quality of the fishery on the Kanawa River is excellent with some of the top Flathead Cats we have seen this year anywhere. Water conditions were horrible with floating debris both on the surface and throughout the water column and muddy water make fishing conditions as tough as it gets.

“When you have some of the country’s best catfish anglers someone is going to figure out what it takes to still make them bite” Total cash purse paid to top ten and big fish was over $11,000.00 We had 41 teams from 9 states in the event.
