Ron Johnson Named President & CEO of Bowtech Archery

Ron Johnson has been named president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Eugene, Ore.-based Bowtech Archery effective immediately replacing former president Mark Pezzoni, who is no longer with the company.
Johnson had previously served as CEO of Savage Sports Corporation, parent company of Savage Arms, Savage Range Systems and Bowtech. Earlier this week, Savage Arms and Savage Range Systems were sold to ATK.
“Bowtech continues to establish itself as a leader in providing consumers with the best possible products in the archery business,” said Johnson. “I look forward to having the opportunity to being a part of the daily management and operations as we seek to increase our market share.”
Johnson brings more than 25 years of industry experience to Bowtech, including product innovation, corporate acquisition and strong strategic planning. Prior to his position with Savage Sports Corporation, he served as president of the sporting group of ATK, where he is credited with doubling the size of the business.
