Nikwax Announces “3-Step Gear Rehab” Program

The first step, as they say, is to admit you have a problem. Problem gear, that is. Nikwax, the world’s leading aftercare company, will launch its Gear Rehab Program at this year’s Outdoor Retailer Summer Market. The three-step Gear Rehab Program will help outdoor enthusiasts revitalize their dirty, tired and underperforming gear, allowing gear to achieve its full performance potential, and keeping otherwise discarded gear out of the landfill.
Dirt, body oil, sweat, smoke and abrasion can degrade gear and stop it from performing its best. The Gear Rehab Program aims to educate outdoor participants on the benefits of gear aftercare, and provides information on which Nikwax products are needed to clean, waterproof, condition, and protect outdoor gear and clothing.
Follow Nikwax’s 3-Step Gear Rehab program:
- Admit your gear has a problem.
- Clean it with Nikwax specialized cleaners.
- Waterproof it with Nikwax high-performance waterproofers.
Because some gear is in dire need of professional-level therapy, outdoor users also have the option to send one piece of gear to the Nikwax Seattle office for treatment. Nikwax will rehab one piece of gear per person (free of cost), and send it back within two weeks, to enable the gear to perform better than ever. To participate in the Gear Rehab program, fill out the rehabilitation form and mail it along with the item to be rehabbed.
