Three Pump-action Shotguns Added to Pure Michigan Hunt Prize Package

The ultimate hunter’s prize package continues to grow through the generosity of hunting industries and organizations in Michigan.

Ducks Unlimited (DU) just announced it will donate three Mossberg 500 Waterfowl 12-gauge camouflage pump-action shotguns for the Pure Michigan Hunt prize package. The three shotguns are in addition to annual DU memberships and DU hats for each winner that the organization was already donating.

The Pure Michigan Hunt is a hunter’s dream. The three winners receive an ultimate hunting prize package including elk, bear, spring and fall turkey, and antlerless deer hunting licenses, and first pick opening morning at a managed waterfowl hunting area. In addition to the hunting licenses, each winner will receive over $4,000 worth of hunting gear donated by groups that support hunting.

Visit the Pure Michigan Hunt website at www.michigan.gov/puremichiganhunt to see the complete 2014 prize package and a video of the 2013 winners’ spring turkey seasons. The winners will soon be starting their early-season elk hunting adventures, so more videos about their hunting success will be coming this fall.

If you would like to be one of the winners for 2014, purchase as many $4 Pure Michigan Hunt applications as you would like anywhere licenses are sold or go online to E-License. Apply now until Dec. 31. Winners will be drawn in January 2014.

The Pure Michigan Hunt opportunity supports wildlife habitat work such as planting food plots, mowing wildlife openings and conducting wildlife surveys, and puts applicants in the running to enjoy the best hunting Michigan has to offer.
