Colorado’s Barr Lake Hosts Intros to Shotgun for Youth

Join Barr Lake and Pheasants Forever for an Introduction to Shotgun Shooting for Beginner Youth. Youth participants ages ten years and up will learn about gun safety, shotgun shooting at clay targets, field safety and about hunting with dogs. Two days are offered, with two sessions available; morning 8:30 to noon, or afternoon 1 to 4:30 p.m.

WHEN: Saturday, August 17 and Saturday, September 14; two sessions on each day: 8:30 to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: Barr Lake State Park, 13401 Picadilly Rd, Brighton, CO
HOW: To register, please email wildlife.neoutreach@state.co.us, or call 303-291-7804 and leave a message with name (s), address, and phone number. Registration is free; however a Parks pass is required to enter the park ($7 daily/$70 annual). Mentors are required to attend with their child but may not be able to participate in the shooting unless time permits.
