Ohio Fishing Regulations Provide Advertising Opportunity
OutdoorHub 08.19.13
Deadline approaching for inclusion in booklet distributed to nearly 1 million anglers annually
Advertising space is available, and bids are now being accepted for the 2014-2015 Ohio Fishing Regulations booklet, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).
The ODNR Division of Wildlife oversees the management and regulation of Ohio’s fish and wildlife. More than 900,000 copies of the fishing regulations are provided to Ohio’s anglers each year. The publication is the official source of Ohio’s fishing laws, regulations and information.
The revenue generated through advertising sales reduces the cost of producing the hunting and fishing publications, which makes more funding available for other important fish and wildlife management projects
The fishing regulations include important information for Ohio’s anglers concerning fish and wildlife rules. The regulations will expand by several pages this year to accommodate space for advertisements, sponsors and promotional information. The enhanced fishing publication will include full-color advertisements ranging from one-third of a page to a full page, plus an Outdoor Marketplace section.
Advertising space will be awarded through a bid process based on the highest bid from the responsible bidder that meets the terms, conditions and limitations listed in the advertising agreement. The deadline to submit sealed bids to the ODNR Division of Wildlife is Thursday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. All bids must be received by this date to be considered. Successful entries must meet or exceed the posted minimum bid price.
