On Episode 82 of Gun Guy Radio Steve Remy visits with Vince Buckles. Vince is probably most widely known as a former member of the cast of the popular Discovery Channel show Sons of Guns. But Vince has moved on and opened his own business – Mesa Kinetic Research. Vince discusses the origins of MKR as a research and testing company and its evolution into a gunsmithing and retail outlet in Gonzales, Louisiana. While offering his advice on both gunsmithing and entrepreneurship, Vince tells Steve about his own training, his path to television and how aspiring gunsmiths who aren’t lucky enough to appear on a hit television show can get started in the industry.
In the Product Spotlight segment Brownell’s Paul Levy tells Jake about the new products from Precision Armament, which is a company focusing on muzzle devices and rails for modern sporting rifles. Paul says these quality products have been a hit with Brownell’s customers even in their relatively short time on the market.
