Sportsman Channel Names Tom Caraccioli Director of Public Relations

Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, has named veteran television communications executive Tom Caraccioli Director of Public Relations. He joins the network Monday, Sept. 16 and will work in the network’s New York City office. Caraccioli will report to Gavin Harvey, CEO.
Caraccioli, a seasoned executive with more than 20 years experience in television and media public relations, recently worked for Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta as manager of communications, Turner Sports. He managed Turner Sports’ linear and digital publicity involving TBS, TNT and truTV, as well as worked closely with Turner’s league partners (NBA, MLB, NCAA, PGA of America, NASCAR), executives and talent to garner publicity and promote the network’s properties and programs. Previous to his tenure at Turner, Caraccioli held PR positions at USA Network, NBC Sports, and the Boston Red Sox.

Caraccioli also has co-authored two critically-acclaimed books with his brother Jerry Caraccioli – Striking Silver: the Untold Story of America’s Forgotten Hockey Team and Boycott: Stolen Dreams of the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games.
Caraccioli graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He resides in New York City with his wife and daughter.
