A young man was seriously injured in a morning All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) crash in Warren on Sunday, April 1, 2012. Sometime between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m., Travis Wescott, age 23, reportedly of Campton, N.H., was riding as the passenger in a John Deere Gator (a two-person ATV) operated by 21-year-old Brian Huckins Jr. of Warren on the grounds of the Route 118 Campground in Warren.

Huckins sustained minor injuries when he lost control of the vehicle and was ejected from the machine, which then struck a building. His passenger, Travis Wescott, remained in the vehicle during the impact and was seriously injured.

Two other people at the scene transported Wescott to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, using a private vehicle. Wescott was later airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

The incident was reported to authorities after 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2012.

The incident is under investigation by New Hampshire Fish and Game Department Conservation Officers.
