B.U. P. Sports, makers of The SHIELD, an archery backstop designed to protect your family, friends and archery equipment, was introduced in the summer of 2013, but a new and improved design is now being launched ….introducing the SHIELD HD archery backstop. The SHIELD HD will be displayed at the Huntin’ is Good booth #2927 at the ATA – Archery Trade Association – Trade Show in the Music City Center in Nashville, TN from January 6-8, 2014.
The original SHIELD was designed to be used as a backstop behind your target to stop arrows that may be off-target when practicing long shots, tuning in your bow, or bring new folks into the sport of archery.
The new SHIELD HD is designed to stop ALL arrows including the micro-diameter arrows like the VAPS from Victory and the Injections form Easton. It is also made to stop bolts from crossbows. The SHIELD HD has been tested from crossbows up to 360 feet/second at distances of less than 10 yards with only 4 inches of penetration. The SHIELD and SHIELD HD are not designed as primary targets and not made for use with broadheads.
The SHIELD HD is available in 4’x 6’ perfect for the backyard behind your 3D target or 14”x14” great for checking your bow in hunting camp or the backcounty.
