Hardy Lake restoration day

   06.08.11

Hardy Lake will be having a restoration day on June 18, from 9 a.m.-noon.

Volunteers will learn about invasive plants and get hands-on experience with some of the best methods for invasive plant eradication.

Participants will be removing the invasive plant autumn olive to prepare for a habitat restoration.

Working in an open field with limb loppers, brush cutters and herbicides, volunteers should dress accordingly and bring gloves, safety glasses and bug spray.

Those who work for at least two hours will get free admission to Hardy Lake for the rest of the day.
