Allesandro Contessa Inc of Marcheno Italy, known in Europe for precision machining of gun components, has announced its entry into the US optical mount market as an exhibitor at the 2014 SHOT Show. Contessa will be showing their premium mounts in Booth 1761.
Contessa Quick Detachable scope mounts have quickly become a premium brand in Europe with a reputation for unequaled accuracy. Known for their extreme precision and repeatability, Contessa QD mounts have a patented design engineered to offer maximum clamping surface area and pressure which enables their mounts to repeat at over 750 yards.
The unique modular system offers adaptability for any sighting and optical device from night vision or traditional rifle scopes to micro sights by Docteur, Zeiss, Burris, and Aimpoint. In addition, the QD mounts are adaptable to any 11mm rail as well as the Blaser system and Picatinny for tactical weapon systems.
Contessa precision machines all parts from solid blocks of material. The moving parts and unique locking jaw system are machined from special steel alloy and compound hardened . Base and rings are machined of compressed Ergal 7075 alloy for weight reduction and then hard coat anodized for hardness. Each mount is hand assembled and tested for guaranteed accuracy. The average MSRP is $349.
