Economy priced batons re-introduced
The Safariland Group announces today the re-introduction of the popular CASCO brand of police batons at the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show and Conference (SHOT Show) January 14 – 17, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nev. The CASCO line of friction lock batons are made in the USA and are held to rigorous quality standards, uncommon with other economy-priced batons. CASCO friction lock batons are easily opened with a flick of the wrist, lock into place via precision Morse tapers and are closed by striking the baton on a hard surface.
“In striving to meet customer demand and market trends, we re-introduced the CASCO line to fill a void in the value-priced baton market,” said Chuck Martin, Category Director for the Less Lethal category. “Most important to us was the use of quality materials and an American manufacturing process to ensure the same high standards for all of our less lethal products. The well-known CASCO brand, offered to the marketplace for more than a decade, offers customers a proven name in the baton market.”
The CASCO line of products will include three sizes and can be purchased separately or as a kit with a lightweight nylon holder. All CASCO batons feature a durable carbon steel component shaft with a black, wear-resistant finish to help prevent rust and corrosion and a rubberized handle for a secure grip.
The 21” CASCO Model 7533 baton and Model 7534 baton kit are currently available for sale with an MSRP of $65.00 and $72.00, respectively. Later this year a 16” and 26” length baton will be available. For more information, visit www.safariland.com/lesslethal.
