Yamaha Marine Group announced today that bass anglers Terry Scroggins, Grant Goldbeck, Kenyon Hill and Michael Simonton have joined the 2014 Yamaha Pro Team.
“We are thrilled to welcome Terry, Grant, Kenyon and Michael as 2014 Yamaha Pro Anglers,” said David Ittner, Tournament and Pro Staff Manager, Yamaha Marine Group. “They are talented professionals and great additions to the team.”
Scroggins is from San Mateo, Fla. and has been fishing professionally since 2002. This year marks his eleventh Bassmaster Classic appearance and his first Classic fishing as a Yamaha pro. During the past 12 years, he has fished 163 B.A.S.S. tournaments with five first place finishes and 45 top ten finishes.
“I am thrilled to be part of the Yamaha team,” said Scroggins. “Yamaha is a true leader in four-stroke technology. The hole shot and top-end speed of the V MAX SHO 250 is excellent and I plan to put this outboard to good use in 2014.”
Goldbeck, who is from Gaithersburg, Md., has been a B.A.S.S. Elite Series angler since 2006. Sine then, he has fished 28 B.A.S.S. tournaments with two top-ten, 7 top-20, and 25 top-50 finishes. Hill, from Norman, Okla., has been fishing professionally since 1986. He has fished 273 tournaments with three first-place, 22 top-ten and 52 top-20 finishes. He is also a four-time Bassmaster Classic competitor.
Simonton, from Fremont, Ohio, joined the B.A.S.S. Elite Series in 2012, and has been fishing professionally since 2006. During that time, he has finished in the top-ten three times, and in the top-20 six times. “Each year we are presented with the opportunity to acquire professional anglers for our team, and this year is another example of that talent and what it means to the Team. Together we look forward to another fantastic year,” said David Ittner.
