For Those Who Appreciate the Benefits, Bear OPS Adds Eight New Butterfly Knives

Knife users who have come to depend on butterfly knives for their efficiency and safety will be happy to hear that Bear OPS has added eight new models to their growing family of butterflies.

All have Bowie clip blades made of premium 14C28N stainless steel, which provides a combination of edge sharpness, edge retention and corrosion resistance. They are heat treated to an ideal Rockwell hardness of 58-60.

One of the advantages of a butterfly knife is to have a long blade that folds into a long handle. The four new Bear Song IV Pattern 400 models have a 3-3/8” edged satin-finish blade that folds into a 5-3/8” handle. Handles are T-6 aircraft aluminum, with water-transfer coating of Blue Drop, Pink Drop, Carbon Fiber and the Reaper Z coating from the Undead Series.

The four more compact Pattern 450 models have the same features and coating choices with a 2-7/8” blade in a 4-1/4” handle.
For smooth opening and closing, all Bear OPS butterfly blades ride on bronze phosphorous washers. Prices range from $137.50 to $145. All are made in the USA and are backed by Bear’s Lifetime Limited Warranty.
