Randy E. Luth, the original founder of D.P.M.S./Panther Arms is at it again. After selling his original company in 2007, he’s now back at work with a new company Luth-AR-LLC, and has introduced a revolutionary new lightweight, modular buttstock assembly for the AR-15 rifle.
The Luth-AR MBA (Modular Buttstock Assembly) allows hunters to add up to 1-inch of height on the cheek rest, and an additional 1 1/16-inch length of pull. Made of super strong glass-filled nylon, the Luth-AR MBA weighs roughly half of comparable stocks coming in at just 1.26 pounds.
“Most of the adjustable buttstock assemblies out there are complicated, cumbersome and add unnecessary weight to the AR,” states, Luth. “I realized there was a niche for something lightweight and affordable that allows shooters to get the customized fit they need to enhance their shooting experience.”
Designed for use with AR rifles, the Luth MBA is interchangeable with standard A1 or A2 buttstocks or any aftermarket buttstock with an overall length of approximately 10.5-inches. It does not fit or install on carbine/telescoping stocks.
The lightweight MBA is easy to replace and quick to install and fits all .223 and most .308 AR-style rifles.
The Luth-AR MBA retails for $139.95 with an optional rear sling swivel available for an additional $4.
Luth also offers the MBA-2. This stripped down buttstock assembly allows shooters to add only just accessories they need, with easy-to-add cheek plate or buttplates. Retail price for the Skullaton MBA-2 without accessories starts at $49.95.
The Luth-AR MBA and MBA-2 are currently available for purchase on the website. Interested dealers and wholesalers should contact the official website at www.luth-ar.com or email info@luth-ar.com.
