Calendar Flips to Unveil New Programming Lineup for World Fishing Network Starting April 5

World Fishing Network, the leading entertainment destination and digital resource for anglers throughout North America, delivers 26 new and returning series – including five World Fishing Network original productions – starting Saturday, April 5.

World Fishing Network originals JP DeRose Breaking Boundaries and Bill Boyce’s Baja debut Sunday, April 6 at 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. ET, respectively, preceded by a newmonthly episode of World Fishing Journal at 11:30 a.m. ET. Season premieres of Guided with Mark Melnyk (12 p.m. ET) and FORCE on FORCE (12:30 p.m. ET) air Saturday, April 19.

Shows making their World Fishing Network debut in April include: Jimmy Houston Outdoors, Carolina’s Perfect Cast, Women’s Professional Tarpon Tournament, Jack Link’s Major League Fishing, The Hook & The Cook, Fishing with Bill Miller, King of the River, Lindner’s Ultimate Angler and Lunkerville Classic.

New seasons of In the Loop, Outdoor Passion, Skeeter Bass Champs, The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons, The Fish’n Crazee Show, George Poveromo’s World of Saltwater Fishing, Canadian Sportfishing and Flats Class are joined by continued new episodes of Inside Sportfishing, The New Fly Fisher, John Gillespie’s Waters & Woods and Bass 2 Billfish with Peter Miller.

Bass 2 Billfish with Peter Miller: Bass 2 Billfish with Peter Miller is a hybrid reality show that incorporates travel and the angling experience encompassing the diverse fishing environment in Florida – one of the top fishing destinations in the world. Join host and professional angler, Peter Miller, as he takes some lucky guest anglers and non-anglers alike on a once-in-a-lifetime fishing adventure.

Bill Boyce’s Baja (WorldFishingNetwork.com/bill-boyces-baja ): For nearly 35 years, Bill Boyce, renowned fisheries biologist, photographer and host of the popular IGFA Saltwater Adventures with Bill Boyce, has travelled the hills, valleys, bays and towns of the Mexican Baja Peninsula. From experiencing the Baja 1000 to one of North America’s oldest wineries and the incredible fishing and marine life that the Baja shoreline has to offer, Bill and his local friends take viewers on a journey to parts of Baja that most don’t know even exist.

Canadian Sportfishing: Canadian Sportfishing continues to set the standard with its unique show format that educates and entertains viewers both young and old alike. Italo Labignan shares his wealth of fishing knowledge with his audience and guests from places near and far. Each episode makes a point of including children into the program with the goal of introducing them to the magical sport of fishing.

Carolina’s Perfect Cast: Carolina’s Perfect Cast , an instructional and entertaining fishing show hosted and produced by Dustin Wilks and Dave Wolak, depicts a realistic insider’s look at the fishing waters of the Carolinas. And while the host’s backgrounds may differ, the mix provides the viewer two different perspectives on how to break down the fishing patterns on the various fisheries they visit.

Fishing with Bill Miller : Captain Bill Miller is a complete angler. A grand master angler and IGFA world-record holder, he has fished North and South America extensively and has caught most every game fish species in the Western Hemisphere. Last season’s FORCE on FORCE competitors had a combined 239 years and 57 deployments and raised $6,000 for Heroes on the Water during the competition.

George Poveromo’s World of Saltwater Fishing: Viewers can see and learn from renowned saltwater angler George Poveromo as he pursues a wide variety of marine game fish . Share the cockpit with George as he films along the coastal U.S. and popular angling destinations abroad, teaching the viewer how to catch a wide variety of game fish, from exotic species like blue marlin and bonefish to regional favorites such as wahoo, tuna, redfish and more.

Guided with Mark Melnyk (WorldFishingNetwork.com/guided-with-mark-melnyk): Overtime is mandatory when Mark Melnyk returns for another season of an insider’s look at what it takes to make it as a professional fishing guide. Season Two brings about an evolution in the show as Mark moves from learning how to be a guide to showcasing the fishing guides he meets, delving deeper into this eclectic, competitive and sometimes dangerous field. Jimmy Houston Outdoors : You can always learn from experience. Since winning The Oklahoma State Championship as a college senior in 1966, Jimmy has fished 15 BASSMaster Classics and won the B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year title in both 1976 and 1986. A legendary angler, Jimmy was inducted in to the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame in 1990 and the Professional Bass Fishing Hall of Fame in 2002. He was inducted into the IGFA Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame and the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame in 2008. Jimmy was named King of Sports for Fishing in 1989 and the Jim Thorpe Association recognized Jimmy as the Jim Thorpe Man of the Year in 2004.

John Gillespie’s Water & Woods: A new episode every week of the year! Educational, entertaining and informational is how host John Gillespie describes Water & Woods. John positions himself as a novice, asking professionals the questions viewers want to ask. King of the River: King of the River is a documentary series hosted by André Paradis that invites viewers into the intimate world of Atlantic salmon fly fishing. The action takes place on the beautiful salmon rivers of Gaspésie and Bas St-Laurent, showing the amazing landscapes of the Gaspe Peninsula located in eastern Québec, Canada.

Lindner’s Ultimate Angler: Al Lindner instructs viewers on the right techniques for catching a variety of species. From spinnerbait strategies, to picking a boat, to choosing the right lure, this show gives the viewer the tips and insight to help make him or her an ultimate angler.

Lunkerville Classic, presented by South Bend Sporting Goods: Lunkerville Classic, presented by South Bend Sporting Goods is coming to World Fishing Network. That’s right, a new series of vintage Lunkerville episodes have been up-converted to high definition (HD) and re-edited for special broadcasts beginning April 6. These are shows from Lunkerville’s first two seasons back in 2004 and 2005 and are believed to have gotten better with age.

Outdoor Passion: Award-winning Outdoor Passion is a series that has two main objectives: To entertain and to familiarize the viewer with the most beautiful recreational facilities and the latest fishing techniques without forgetting other outdoor activities. Hosts Rob Martier, Andrew Carter and Ray Carignan lead viewers through unspoiled wilderness, spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife, incredible fishing plus great angling and environmental stories – all in an entertaining, fast-paced format that will appeal to a diverse viewing audience.

Skeeter Bass Champs : World Fishing Network is the home of the Skeeter Bass Champs with coverage of the Texas Tournament Trail. On location for more than 30 Skeeter Bass Champs events, each episode highlights the trials, struggles and rewards that anglers tackle throughout a tournament.

The Fish’N’ Crazee Show: The Fish’N’ Crazee Show , a magazine style show that showcases the sport of angling in all aspects with a lineup of guests that are not only the anglers themselves but the people that make the industry tick. The goal of the show is simple: Bring the reality of fishing to the audience in an informative, entertaining style. The more the viewer knows about the sport of fishing, the better the angler he or she will become.

The Hook & The Cook: The Hook & The Cook brings together two of Australia’s most popular activities – fishing and cooking. The series is presented by Scotty Lyons (The Hook) and Paul Breheny (The Cook) who travel to a new destination each episode to prepare mouth watering dishes from locally sourced seafood.

The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons: Every 30-minute episode follows Jim Sammons, recognized worldwide as a pioneer of big game kayak fishing, as he travels the world with his kayak while on the hunt for the biggest and most challenging game fish.

The New Fly Fisher : Co-produced with the Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF), The New Fly Fisher is about fly fishing for all species in all waters of North America.  Truly the art and science of fly fishing, The New Fly Fisher is designed to be an educational and instructional experience, providing clear and concise instruction, 3-D animations to help explain a specific point or tactic and stunning underwater videography.

Women’s Professional Tarpon Tournament Series : The Professional Tarpon Tournament Series (PTTS) and the Women’s Professional Tarpon Tournament Series (WPTTS) are tournaments held in world-famous Boca Grande Pass, Florida. They and are among the largest and richest tarpon fishing tournament series events in the world, and the captains and anglers are the best in the nation. The tournaments are filmed and broadcasted worldwide as a 13 week television series.

World Fishing Journal: World Fishing Journal brings together a roster of talented sports producers to craft engaging, story-driven features based around the angling community and fishing industry. New episodes premiere the first Sunday of every month at 11:30 a.m. ET.
