Video: Bowhunter Makes Extraordinary Miss on Large Buck

This video taken several years ago shows a bowhunter missing his first shot on a nice-sized buck. Technically, it wasn’t a miss at all.  When the deer breaks cover, you can clearly see the arrow lodged in its rack. The buck then proceeds to stare the hunter down before wisely fleeing. While it is not clear whether the bowhunter ultimately was able to bring the deer home, it would sure be a strange shed to find later on.

Shooting a buck’s antlers is apparently not as rare as one would think, which the crew of Backwoods Life attributes to pure buck fever. Watch as guest hunter Jeremy Johnson makes a similar shot while filming in Alabama.
