MyGunTips.com’s B.J. Norris Captures Title at 2014 SMM3G

After 3 days of competition in the Arizona desert, Team MyGunTips.com’s B.J. Norris brought home the Tactical Scope Division Championship from the 2014 Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun,. “It was a really tough event” commented B.J., “A lot of the stages tricked competitors into shooting faster than they really should, and there were quite a few penalties racked up over the weekend.”
Held outside of Mesa, AZ at Desert Sportsman’s Club, SMM3G is traditionally considered one of the season openers, and always draws some of the biggest names on the 3 Gun circuit. “The staff did an amazing job putting together the stages this year.” said B.J., “We shot one stage from the back of a 2 1/2 ton truck, another standing in a boat, and my favorite, a suspension chair where we were turned 90 degrees in either direction.”
This marks B.J.’s first major victory in Tactical Scope division on the 3 Gun circuit since he began his transition from the action pistol sports in 2012. “The first one is always special, but we’ve got the rest of the season to finish, and I’m looking to build on this momentum”.
