The online hunter education company, HunterEdCourse.com, supported youth involvement in the outdoors with sponsorship of the Simon Kenton High School National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) team and school tournament held in Independence, Kentucky.
Through the support of Hunter Ed Course sponsoring the team, it provided team member Abby Voltz, with the opportunity that led to earning an archery scholarship at Midway College in Midway, Kentucky. Over 20 other team members also benefited with being introduced to archery and competition.
Hunter Ed Course is committed to providing a more affordable online hunter safety course than is currently on the market in order to reduce training as a barrier to access for those wanting to start hunting. Offered at only $13 through the website www.HunterEdCourse.com, access is provided to training for youth and adults in a medium they are comfortable with and at a price that is affordable and within reach.
This sponsorship came about when a Kentucky mother, Shelly Ponder, signed her son, Mitchell Ponder, up for online hunter education with Hunter Ed Course. Shelly needed assistance with the technology and called Hunter Ed Course customer service up for help.
One conversation led to another and during one of the calls, NASP team mom, Shelly Ponder, mentioned that her son’s NASP team was looking for sponsorship. The customer service rep immediately saw the synergy between a customer’s need and the Hunter Ed Course goal of exposing more youth to outdoor activities. A partnership through sponsorship was formed.
NASP archery programs are a gateway to the outdoors and hunting so it was a natural fit for Hunter Ed Course to support a customer and gain exposure among more than 300 Kentucky archers and future hunters at the tournament.
Hunter Ed Course pride itself in its personalized customer service as evidence by this interaction. To quote Shelly: “I couldn’t believe how helpful Hunter Ed Course staff was in getting my son certified with their easy to understand concise online hunter education course”
As a result, one more youth hunter was certified, and through support of a NASP team and tournament over 300 students were exposed to archery, the outdoors and for a portion of them, eventually into hunting.
Hunter Ed Course online hunter education is the lowest cost narrated online hunter safety course at $13 and is available at www.HunterEdCourse.com.
