Wingshooting USA and TruckVault Set to Partner with USA Shooting in 2014

Five groups including USA Shooting will share in the funds and national publicity provided via Scott Linden’s Wingshooting USA television series in the third annual “TruckVault Cares … for conservation, canines & kids … presented by Paw Print Genetics” initiative.

Linden uses the initiative to promote conservation, gundog rescue, youth hunting and related issues every week through the most interactive television vehicle on the air.  Groups receive exposure through a national television commercial and in-show features as well as in social media and each others’ publications and websites. Beneficiary group members use social media to urge friends and supporters to vote for their organization; every group “wins,” because funds are awarded proportionally to the number of votes each receives. Voting begins July 1 and runs through December, 2014 at www.truckvaultcares.com and the TruckVault Cares Facebook page.

The most-watched upland hunting show in the country and official series of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), Scott Linden’s Wingshooting USA is “the good show that does good.”  Broadcast seven days per week on seven networks including Discovery’s Destination America, Wingshooting USA is motivating current and future upland hunters with award-winning production.  Executive producer and host Linden brings a passionate participants perspective to the most exciting field sport.

Lead sponsor TruckVault is joined in the effort by presenting sponsor Paw Print Genetics and co-sponsors Filson, Happy Jack,  Scott Linden’s Signature Series of dog gear and television network. Starting in July, the public awareness and fundraising campaign spotlight will be shared by five groups: USA Shooting, training and sanctioning organization for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic shooting sports, Quail and Upland Wildlife Foundation provides funding and manpower for on-the-ground projects, Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership’s primary goal is to ensure public access to public lands, Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry funds processing and facilitates hunter donations of meat to needy families, German Shorthair Club of America’s dog rescue effort finds new homes for lost and abandoned hunting dogs.

“With the Winter Olympics in the history books and America looking toward the Summer 2016 Games, we should see strong attention given to our lead group [USA Shooting] that will benefit all our partners,” Linden says. “Last year’s 156,000 votes will be hard to top, but these groups have wide reach and motivated members, and with every vote putting dollars in their treasuries I have high hopes.”

“We couldn’t be any more anxious for production to get started on a new year of Wingshooting USA,” said Kevin Neuendorf, USA Shooting’s Director of Media & Public Relations.  “Scott Linden and the NSSF have created a show that combines the love of the outdoors, dogs and bird hunting, and the show’s ratings and popularity prove it’s a package that works for the American sportsmen and women.  It’s an honor for our athletes to be involved in the show in hopes that we can help educate viewers on the endeavors of these shooting sports ambassadors.”

Linden has created a TV show that authentically portrays the upland hunt, from exciting dog work to hunting action … hits and misses and the camaraderie of good friends in the field.  Useful tips and advice ensure you’ll become a better shooter, dog owner and bird hunter … and it’s all offered in an entertaining, engaging style unique to Scott’s shows. If you liked Scott’s “What the Dogs Taught Me,” or “Cast & Blast,” you’ll love Wingshooting USA.

The show returns for the 2014 season, beginning June 1 and will officially launch the voting period for participating organizations on July 1. At that time, anyone can vote daily at www.truckvault.com/truckvaultcares and the TruckVault Facebook page. Voters are eligible for prizes throughout the campaign, which ends December 31, 2014, when a $5,000 prize package is awarded. Wingshooting USA TV also awards a $10,000 funding package proportionally to each group based on the number of votes it receives.
