Tacprogear Soft Armor Receives NIJ Certification

Tacprogear, a leading manufacturer of tactical equipment used by professionals around the globe, is proud to announce NIJ Standard 0101.06 Certification for Threat Level IIIA soft body armor under the Tacprogear and Tacprogear BLACK brands.
NIJ Threat Level IIIA body armor provides the user the highest level of protection currently available from concealable body armor. NIJ Level IIIA certified Tacprogear and Tacprogear BLACK soft body armor provides protection against .357 SIG FMJ FN bullets with nominal masses of 125 gr. impacting at a velocity of 1,470 ft/s and .44 Mag JHP bullets with nominal masses of 240 gr. impacting at a velocity of 1,430 ft/s. As part of the NIJ Standard 0101.06 performance the armor must also submit to a 30-minute water submersion test and the designated impact velocity must not create any penetrations and the depth of the depression made in the backing material cannot exceed 1.73 inches (44mm).
