Walt Bailey Joins Cablz Eyewear Retainers

With its popularity growing, and sales as well, Cablz eyewear retainers has hired industry veteran Walt Bailey to a newly created position as its VP of sales.

Cablz, Inc., is the sole originator and patent holder of the unique “stay off the neck” eyewear retention system invented by Cablz founder and CEO Ron Williams. The trendy,    ultra lightweight and durable retainers are worn by anglers, hunters, skiers, boaters and a wide variety of outdoors and sports enthusiasts.

Bailey, with over 25 years of successful management in sales, has pioneered programs while building distribution channels globally and outside the specialty sporting goods realm.

“He’s a proven sales leader plus a gifted sales strategist and tactician,” said Holly Williams, Cablz’ co-owner. “Walt has generated growth in a number of innovative ways while always nurturing long term relationships with customers and business partners. We are very excited to have Walt as part of Cablz.”

Bailey said, “What attracted me to Cablz was quite simply I found both Ron and Holly exciting and innovative people that provide the type of environment that will allow me to succeed in growing the business.”

Cablz began in 2008 in a garage as a Birmingham startup company with its original surgical grade stainless steel retainer. Just a year later it won the “Best New Product” Award at ICAST, the national fishing industries’ tackle trade show. Continuing to expand its line, Cablz introduced an adjustable model known as Cablz Zipz to the marketplace in 2012. Since then, Cablz has grown by developing and expanding its product line. It has been awarded U.S. and foreign patents on these designs plus has several other patent applications pending.
