This Week on Outdoors Radio – Wisconsin’s First International Bunker Trap Field Grand Opening

This week, Dan Small Outdoors Radio features Anglin Adventures TV host Steve Mortenson, fishing guide Ron Barefield, Great Lakes Sportfishermen board member Jim Brooks and Ruffed Grouse Society biologist Gary Zimmer. Dan gets a shooting lesson from Olympic hopeful 14-year-old Meredith Bernau. Jeff takes soil samples for food plots.

Exclusive to podcast and FM 100.5 ESPN broadcast, presented by Pappas Trading Post: McFarland guide Ron Barefield reports good panfish and bass action on the Madison chain, and a fantastic walleye bite on Lake Wisconsin.

Steve Mortenson, of Anglin Adventures TV and guide service, reports bad weather made fishing tough for the pros at the Mercury National Walleye Tournament June 7-8 on Lake Winnebago, but bass, walleye and white bass action have been hot.

Jim Brooks, board member of the Ozaukee Chapter of Great Lakes Sportfishermen, reports on great fishing action on Lake Michigan off Port Washington and announces the chapter’s public fishing derby July 4-6.

Ruffed Grouse Society coordinating biologist Gary Zimmer reports Wisconsin’s spring drumming counts show the grouse population came through the winter in great shape and talks about the value of managing young forest habitat for a variety of species.
