It’s a new hosting gig for former Navy SEAL Cade Courtley, a youth shooting program made possible with grants from the NRA, and more, this week on Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.
Former U.S. Navy SEAL and author of SEAL Survival Guide: A Navy SEAL’s Secrets to Surviving Any Disaster (http://amzn.to/1m0JdIU), Cade Courtley, is back on TV – this time as the host of a new TV show on Sportsman Channel. The show, America Unplugged, features eight people who are living a self-sustaining lifestyle, or “off the grid”, and airs on Thursdays at 8 pm Eastern. Courtley visits with Tom on Sunday to discuss this new show, the lifestyle, and his survival guide. Watch some of America Unplugged here.
John Bushey is the Training Officer for the Hudson Mohawk Young Marines Unit in Albany, NY. Their purpose – “To teach youth members safe, responsible and ethical behavior with firearms and expose them to the exciting world of the shooting sports”. From the moment the unit was formed, they knew they wanted to have a marksmanship program, but lacking a lot of funding, weren’t sure how they would accomplish that. After finding out and applying for a youth program grant from the NRA, they now have the equipment and supplies and have hosted their first range day. Bushey stops by to talk about how the program got started, applying for the grants, and more. Find out more at www.hudsonmohawkyoungmarines.webs.com.
