35th Annual Awards Honoring the Finest in Film & Television Productions
Officials from Orion Entertainment, the world’s largest producer of adventure lifestyle television, announce that their 2013 programming won 4 prestigous Telly Awards. The Orion-produced series Living Alaska, Building Alaska, and Buccaneers & Bones won awards in the categories of Nature/Wildlife, Editing, and Videography.
Living Alaska follows families leaving the lower 48 behind as they search for new property and a new lifestyle in Alaska. The series has been a ratings hit, averaging more than 1.2 million households tuning into each airing on HGTV.
Building Alaska continues its successful run on the DIY Network, ranking as the 2-highest rated show among men 25-54. Building Alaska follows three builders who work at remote locations under unforgiving conditions, struggling to finish their projects despite the physical and emotional challenges of working remotely in Alaska.
The acclaimed Buccaneers & Bones series continues its critical success by winning its 6th and 7th Telly Awards. The Outdoor Channel original series stars a luminary cast of anglers and conservationists including Tom Brokaw, Huey Lewis, Yvon Chouinard, and Lefty Kreh as they fish the saltwater flats while uncovering the latest research underway by the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust to help protect this fragile ecosystem.
