Wired Outdoors is happy to announce that the 5th annual Camo Cares raised $160,000 in their one day event held at the Fryburg Sportsman’s Club on Saturday, June 21st to send children suffering from life threatening illnesses and wounded veterans on their Hunt of A Lifetime.
Camo Cares, which was founded by Knox residents and Co Hosts of Wired Outdoors, Jason Say and Kyle Schwabenbauer, raised $160,000 in their 5th annual event at the Fryburg Sportsman’s Club.
This year’s Camo Cares raised enough money to send over 60 kids suffering from life threatening illnesses and wounded veterans on their hunt of a lifetime. While the event raised enough to send many children and wounded vets on their dream hunt, the Wired Outdoors team will be tagging along with 15 year old Seth Davis, suffering from Cystic Fibrosis and in need of a lung transplant, on an Oregon elk hunt this fall and wounded veteran Sergeant Pete Sutherland on his New Mexico Elk hunt filming it for their show Wired Outdoors. Kyle Schwabenbauer, co-host of Wired Outdoors, said, “It is important to us to let all the people who donated and helped make Seth and Pete’s dream come true, then see them go on their hunt!” This episode will air on their website at www.WiredOutdoors.com sometime in late October.
Each year the Wired Outdoors team raises money to make dreams come true for kids suffering from life threatening illnesses and wounded veterans. Jason Say, co-host of Wired Outdoors from Knox, Pennsylvania said, “We are truly humbled and blessed to live in such an amazing community that can unite as friends, family and sportsmen to send so MANY children and wounded vets on their hunt of a lifetime!”
Say said, “I would like to thank everyone who donated time, services, facilities, and their money to this awesome cause. We couldn’t have done it without you.” For more information visit WiredOutdoors.com.
