SIG SAUER congratulates Max Michel, Jr., on capturing his record-setting fifth World Speed Shooting Championship. The legendary Steel Challenge drew the world’s best speed shooters to St. George, Utah, June 25-28.
With this title, Michel has won more men’s World Speed Shooting Championships than any other competitor. Michel shot all eight stages in a combined time of 81.23 seconds, almost a half-second ahead of the runner-up in a match decided by fractions of a second. Michel began the match by winning the Rimfire Open division with a time of 63.77 seconds.
“All of us here at SIG SAUER are extremely proud to work with Max. Five Steel Challenge titles is an amazing accomplishment, on par with winning five Super Bowl titles,” said Bud FIni, SIG SAUER Vice President of Marketing. “We cannot think of anyone else who better represents our performance standards and commitment to quality than Max Michel, Jr.”
SIG SAUER, a longtime sponsor of the Steel Challenge, is a proud supporter of the shooting sports. Real-world input from competitors help SIG SAUER engineers continue to innovate and improve products for military, law enforcement and responsible citizens.
