USA Shooting announced today that Buddy DuVall has left his position as Executive Director of the USA Shooting Team Foundation (USASTF), effective June 30th. A former competitive pistol shooter and National Team member, DuVall’s involvement with USA Shooting dates back more than 30 years.
DuVall joined USA Shooting in 2004 as the Director of Marketing and Fundraising and then transitioned to overseeing the USA Shooting Team Foundation when it was established in 2009. During DuVall’s tenure, more than $7 million in support has been generated for athletes and programs through corporate partnerships, fundraisers and individual contributions.
“I’m grateful for the generosity of individuals, corporations and organizations that have supported our athletes and USA Shooting’s mission,” said DuVall. “It has been a privilege working with some of the finest athletes in the world and being a part of the organization’s success over the past 10 years has been extremely rewarding.”
Prior to joining the staff of USA Shooting, DuVall was a member of the USA Shooting Team and Resident Athlete at the Colorado Springs U.S. Olympic Training Center. The former pistol shooter represented the U.S. in more than 40 World Cup and international competitions and last competed internationally at the 2002 World Championships.
“We thank Buddy for his years of dedicated service to USA Shooting and to growth of the Foundation,” said USA Shooting CEO/Executive Director Robert Mitchell. “Buddy will continue as USAS member, friend and strong supporter. He has built many valued relationships which have been the foundation of our fundraising success in helping USAS rise to the status we are today. We wish him well in advancing his career in private business.”
“Buddy has been instrumental in developing and implementing strategies that have led to the fundraising growth of the Foundation,” said USA Shooting Team Foundation Chairman Randy Moeller. “The success of those programs within the outdoor Industry and individual partnerships have been fostered by Buddy and his passion for the athletes and the programs that support them. He has always had the personable touch that individual donors relate to and that’s kept our corporate partners engage with the team. The Foundation and organization will miss his leadership and vision, but most of all I know the athletes will miss his quick smile and his fundraising success.”
The USA Shooting Team Foundation (USASTF) is the non-profit fundraising arm of USA Shooting. The USA Shooting Team Foundation’s sole purpose is to support the comprehensive mission of USA Shooting by providing resources necessary to succeed in the highly competitive world of Olympic shooting.
