Pheasants Forever Donates $150,000 to Youth Shooting Sports

The MidwayUSA Foundation, a public charity established by MidwayUSA founders Larry and Brenda Potterfield, has received a donation from Pheasants Forever/Quail Forever in the amount of $150,000, to support youth shooting sports. Recipients of this donation include 33 youth shooting teams that hold an active Team Endowment Account with the MidwayUSA Foundation.

The shooting sports industry is growing, exponentially. This growth is benefiting our youth and is due, in large part, to strong partnerships like the one between these two organizations. Jared Wiklund, Pheasants Forever/Quail Forever Regional Representative, said, “Along with the MidwayUSA Foundation, our chapters are promoting programs and fundraisers throughout the year in an effort to give young students a chance to take part in high school sports. Trap and skeet are truly great sports and have grown leaps and bounds across the nation.”

The MidwayUSA Foundation works with shooting teams, conservation groups and the shooting industry to raise funds in support of youth shooting programs. Each donation, such as the money received from Pheasants Forever/Quail Forever, brings them another step closer to achieving sustainable support for youth shooting programs.

“Pheasants Forever/Quail Forever has been a long time partner with our Foundation,” says Dick Leeper, Executive Director of The MidwayUSA Foundation. “The hard work of this group and its chapters proves their determination to help provide opportunities for our youth and the future of the shooting sports industry.”
