This Week on The Revolution – Guns and Optics

Remington

New for 2014 is a unique muzzleloader from Remington like  none you’ve seen before.  John Fink with Remington talks with Jim and Trav about the Model 700 Ultimate Muzzleloader. New technology is helping set a whole new ballistic threshold when it comes to muzzleloaders, allowing it to generate in excess of 2400 feet per second turning it into a legitimate 300 yard rifle. Also tune in to hear about the revolutionary Remington Versa Max shotgun.

Hawke Optics

Today good optics aren’t hard to find, the challenge for today’s hunter is finding the most scope or binocular you can get for your money. Trent Marsh with Hawke Optics joins The Revolution to talk about their affordable field of products from riflescopes to binoculars, spotting scopes and crossbow scopes.  He’ll give us some insight on Hawke’s Endurance line of riflescopes as well as a look at their crossbow scopes that have pioneered the market.

This week Jim and Trav discuss the basics of proper gun fit and explain why it is important to have a well fitting gun if you intend to be a consistent and accurate shot. They’ll also discuss recoil, ways to reduce the felt recoil and why incorrect form might be adding to impact you are absorbing. And finally they’ll debate over wood versus synthetic stocks.
