It’s true that the internet has a love affair with shotguns, whether they’re being used for zombie hunting or wild—and sometimes not quite safe—experimentation. For the sake of science, amateur firearm testers have stuffed shotgun shells with skittles, porcupine quills, legos, and even perfectly viable seeds. One consistently popular choice is the screwdriver, possibly because it seems like it might make a suitable replacement for a slug.

Spoiler alert, it isn’t.
