Outdoor News Inc and Kinetic Performance Dog Food Announce Winner of Huntin’ Buddy Contest

Outdoor News Inc., publisher of locally written fishing and hunting outdoor newspapers in seven Great Lake States, and Kinetic Performance Dog Food, named Paul Agranoff of Isanti, Minn. as the winner of the 2014 Huntin’ Buddy Photo contest.  Agranoff’s entry of a photo depicting his dog, TI, in an action shot was selected as the contest winner, which appeared on the cover of Minnesota Outdoor News’ August 8th edition.

Agranoff and TI were officially recognized on August 15th, during the Minnesota-based Game Fair event held in Anoka, Minn.  Kinetic owners Dave Dourson and John Howard were on hand to present Agranoff with the first bag of a year’s supply of the brand’s “Active 26K” performance dog food formula that is part of the winning package.

Agranoff said that his entry into the contest was more than just a photo submission.  “Ti is truly a companion. We train year-round and hunt from Manitoba to the Dakotas as often as we can. At 5 years of age, he is what I consider the dog of a lifetime, and he has proven himself through the NAHRA (North American Hunting Retriever Association) trials and in the field.” stated Agranoff.

Dourson, head of sales for Kinetic Performance Dog Food, noted that it was great to see the winning canine in action, as Agranoff was among the participants and volunteers in Game Fair’s “Fetch-A-Cure” event.  “Kinetic is a national sponsor of NAHRA, and to learn that our winner was involved in a quality organization and is obviously a committed sport dog owner, underscored our sponsorship of the Outdoor News Huntin’ Buddy contest as a way to recognize that bond and camaraderie one can share with their canine companions,” he said.

In addition to the year’s supply of Kinetic dog food that will be provided through the Hubbard Life dealer network, a custom portrait of the winning photo by Outdoor News artist, Ron Nelson, will be presented to Agranoff at a later date.  In referencing the portrait, Agranoff shared, “My veterinarian’s office has asked to showcase the artwork when it is done, so it will allow more people to appreciate how important that bond can be with a true hunting buddy.”
