Bass Pro Shops® newly designed Pro Qualifier Spinning Reels help anglers battle what they love – brawler bass and pit bull pike. These reels help fight all the things they hate, too, such as line twist, line wear, and jerky drag.
With Mag Spool Technology, the forged aluminum spool on each Pro Qualifier reel is 30 percent wider than standard spinning reels. The oversized roller lays down more line with each revolution. Fewer turns mean less twist and better line lay for longer casts and extended life of the line. Plus, the stainless steel line roller is oversized and specially tapered to reduce line wear. An 8-bearing system with Powerlock instant anti-reverse and the 6-washer Carbon Fiber sealed drag system control big fish with smooth, consistent, flawless pressure.
The new design includes a skeletonized rotor, spool and frame for resistance-free performance and weight savings, which means reduced wear and tear on you from first cast to last. In addition, the Pro Qualifier machined aluminum handle features an oversized knob with a ribbed silicone finish for comfort and all-weather security.
Each Pro Qualifier also comes with a free, braid-ready extra spool that permits superline to be tied directly to the spool – no backing necessary.
The Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier lineup includes sizes and line capacities to meet every need. The range is from the PQS10 at 110 yards of 6-pound mono up to the beefy PQ50 at 255 yards of 10-pound mono. Gear ratios include 5.1:1, 5.6:1, and 6.1:1 options, but remember the 30 percent wider spool increases retrieve speed, too.
