Washington Quarterback Colt McCoy Hijacks Training Field for Archery Practice

A lot of privileges come with being a quarterback, and for Colt McCoy of the Washington Redskins, that means a little bit of leeway when it comes to what he can bring to the field. What is McCoy’s secret to training? Why, shooting a few arrows into a deer target, of course. The fact that he appropriates part of the team’s training complex makes it all the better.

It is no surprise that McCoy is a big hunter. With a professed love of chasing wild hogs and deer, McCoy is one of many athletes who spend the off season in season—hunting season, that is. Besides starring in his own hunting-themed TV show and authoring a book with Matt Carter, the NFL star also inexplicably appears in this viral video where a quail hunter catches a bird barehanded.
