Who says animals can’t just chill out? This cunning heron in South Africa’s Kruger National Park appears to be slowly and inexplicably floating across the surface of a lake—until a hippo raises its head. As it turned out, the bird simply found the best fishing platform it could ever hope for—as long as its host doesn’t do a barrel roll.
