Sometimes even bad taxidermy can be fun, as long as you’re not the one paying for it. As we showed in our list of 15 taxidermy fails that deserve a refund, a botched mount can occasionally be downright hilarious. Sometimes, however, you don’t want the thing anywhere in your house, and especially not at night. While not all of the examples below necessarily fall under the category of “bad taxidermy,” they are certainly residents of the uncanny valley. We’re not sure what it is that creeps us out so much about these animals, but something just ain’t right.
Bonus points if you can identify all of these. Some were definitely made to look “unique” on purpose, while others just have us scratching our heads.
