Video: Waving Bear Makes Effortless Catch

This brown bear should consider a career in baseball.

The Olympic Game Farm in Sequim, Washington—where this video was apparently taken—is famous for its waving bears. This bruin, however, is not impressive because it waves, but because it uses its lightning-fast reflexes and excellent hand-eye coordination to snag a slice of bread. Sure the catch is not particularly impressive if it had been human, but for an animal that can grow up to 2,000 pounds, it’s pretty cool.

Like most of the other animals at the Olympic Game Farm, it is likely that this bear as retired a career in show business to enjoy the idle leisure of the country. It certainly doesn’t seem to mind the occasional visitor—or treats.
