Video: Man Builds Homemade 40W “Laser Shotgun,” Wreaks Havoc in Garage

YouTuber styropyro went viral last year with his video of his homemade 6W laser sword, a distinctly lightsaber-looking doodad.
Almost a year later, he’s back with another exciting laser creation: what he calls a “laser shotgun.”
The flashy heart of the device is made up of eight parallel 5W laser beams, which project their beams into a lens. As you can see in the video above, it’s capable of igniting and blowing up things in a suitably sci-fi fashion.
We doubt hunters will be ditching their Benellis and Remingtons any time soon for a laser scattergun, but it’s pretty cool nonetheless.
