Video: .50 BMG Round Absolutely Demolishes Ballistic Gel Block

What can make 32 inches of ballistics gel get up and dance like it’s 1922?
If you guessed a .50 BMG round, you’d be correct. Specifically, this gelatin was hit with a Hornady 750-grain A-MAX, which boasts a devastating 13,241 foot-pounds of muzzle energy and a velocity of over 2,800 feet per second at the muzzle. Of course, this round is hardly ever meant for close range.
“We’re going to see if we can make this block of gelatin leave the bench and maybe never find it,” said renowned speed shooter Jerry Miculek.
If you think that’s impressive, wait until you watch Jerry shoot a similar round off-hand six times in under one second. Move over Rambo, you’ve just been outclassed.
